When I first heard the words ‘Bertin Bistro’ I immediately envisioned a small Cafe involving a some kind of French dishes. What I wasn’t expecting was a 19th-century love tale inspired two floored Bistro. We’re talking about a magical culinary journey through France, Spain & Morocco, starting off with a large open kitchen bakery on the ground-floor crafting delicate French artisan desserts and traveling upstairs you find yourself in an Andalusian lounge offering Moroccan & Spanish food topped with the exotic smell of shisha.
Bertin Signatures dishes from the mouth watering Alsace desserts downstairs to the refashioned thin pizza bread served with different flavors & toppings baked right in front of you downstairs at their massive pastry counter is just delightful & eye pleasing.
Our order for the evening:
The very first thing we treated ourselves was with their chilled fresh fruit smoothies and Mixed flavor sheesha which was the perfect way to start off this massive food splurge. Before going any further, to all my Shisha loving reader, Bertin Bistro mixes the most intricate flavors of Shisha – exotic smell & divine taste, a combo which never disappoints!
Drinks & Smoothies
The house specialty, flammkuchen will definitely win over your hearts with the very first bite. Bertin’s Flammekueche is an Alsatian oven baked dish composed of bread dough rolled out very thin. You can also taste it with gluten-free dough.
The Spanish – Moroccan Hot & Cold Tapas were actually finger-licking tasty. Their Chicken Croquettes were exquisite, all I can say is your taste buds can’t get enough of this tiny crispy delicacy. But the Spicy Chicken wings were such a huge disappoint which ended up being sweet.
If that’s not enough, their tempting desserts are a massive HIT across all social media platforms. Once you taste the highly recommended Bertin’ fluffy Pain Perdu there is just NO going back, no pictures does enough justice to their fluffy, creamy & heavenly desserts.
Staff & Ambiance
Both the floors were crafted beautifully to capture the essence of an elegant love story. As we walked upstairs, stepping out of a relaxed white, fresh Parisian Bistro, we suddenly entered a dark mysterious, Moroccan inspired restaurant with an outdoor terrace. The whole place comes together as you go through the menu and unfold the mystical love tale of Mr Bertin.
Not only the atmosphere, but the friendly & welcoming staff is what makes this place interestingly one of it’s kind. Our attendant constantly guided us throughout the menu and even took our tastes & liking into consideration to a large extent when recommending dishes.

Overall Bertin Bistro gets a tick against all the factors I consider for another visit. If you are into smoking, you need to try out their ridiculously appealing shisha flavors they are nothing less than PERFECTION. The second floor is where you feel like home, with comfy seats & beautiful terrace, you won’t leave anytime soon.
We thought we were so stuffed but everyone has that extra pouch of space in their stomach for a huge plate of chocolate fondue. By the time we licked the chocolate bowl clean, four hours had passed. Regardless, I would highly recommend the desserts & Shisha for a unique laid back evening experience with friends & family.
